Top-Mount Sinks

Self-Rimming (Top-Mount) Sinks sit in appropriately-shaped holes roughly cut in the counter-top (or substrate material) using a jigsaw or other cutter appropriate to the material at hand and are suspended by their rim. The rim then inherently forms a fairly close seal with the top surface of the counter-top, especially when the sink is clamped into the hole from below.
There are a great many sinks from which to choose that are top-mounted. 
This is by far the easiest style of sink to install because the cut-out in the bench top is covered by the rim of the sink – hence no need for totally accurate and neat cutting. This is an important aspect to consider when working with Granite, Caesar Stone or similar materials. due to the hardness of the stone and hence the greater difficulty in achieving a perfect finish. Because the edges are completely covered with the sink, the stone does not need to be polished and finished around the sink.
By all means seek out your own sink company if preferred, but we use and recommend the following top-mounted styles from a company we have found to be extremely professional and have sinks at a very economic price.
